The 2017 proposed adventure Tag-Along Tour to the Helena & Aurora Range has been planned to support the Wilderness Societies effort to establish the area as a National Park in order to prevent mining there. The range is located in the Greater Western Woodland some 150km north of Southern Cross and consists principally of banded ironstone formations (BIF). Being in a current pristine state, the range supports several unique species of fauna. The tour will give club members the opportunity to camp, walk and to participate in supporting a worthwhile cause.
